He studied at Teknisk Skole (the Technical School).
Walseth was inspired by the famous Peder Mönsted, his subjects often include small fishing villages in Zealand; he extensively traveled to mountainous areas in Austria, Germany, Switzerland
as well as to Italy and Scandinavia.
