Albert Roosenboom was a student of the famous painter Constantin Meunier.
Roosenboom was considered as one of the finest Belgian painters of genre scenes. His oil paintings represent interiors, romantic scenes of children at play and lifestyles of 19th century Europe.

Edith Isabel Barrow

Isabel Barrow was a painter of flowers, interiors, portraits and landscapes.
She studied at the South Kensington Art School after winning a scholarship.
She painted numerous flower paintings and one was acquired by Queen Mary, and series of Westminster Abbey interiors was purchased by the Empress Frederick of Germany.
The painter extensively exhibited at the Royal Society of British artists, at the Royal Academy, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, the Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham.
Her health deteriorated after an operation for cancer in 1926. She was buried in Combe Martin churchyard in an unmarked grave, a pauper's plot.
