British Painter William Henry Margetson (1861-1940)

William Henry Margetson studied at the South Kensington Schools and at the Royal Academy, where he exhibited from 1885. The subjects of his paintings were mostly beautiful women. He also produced a few religious paintings as well as allegorical and classical canvases. His wife, Hellen Hatton, was also an artist.

British Landscape Painter William Sidney Cooper (1854-1927)

William Sidney Cooper (1854-1927) was an English landscape painter, best known for his paintings of the countryside around Herne Bay in Kent.
The English landscape painter William Sidney Cooper was mostly known for his canvases of the countryside in Kent. Cooper studied at the School of Art in Canterbury and became a well-known painter exhibiting at the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Academy.

Near Amberley, Sussex

In 1882 the painter married and later moved to Herne Bay in Kent where he lived the rest of his life. Cooper kept painting professionally, but he was also a musician and took part in local musical events.
